ADMISSIONS 2010-2012

Indian Institute of Science Education & Research has invited applications for admission to the 5 Year Integrated Dual BS-MS Programmes for the academic Session 2010-11. IISERs are located at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram. For details of the Institutes and Courses available, visit http://www.iiser-admissions.in/

Those satisfying one of the following three criteria may apply

KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanic Protsahan Yojana): Students qualified in SA (2008) / SX(2009)/ SB(2009)/ SP (passed 10+2 in 2009/2010) (See http://www.iisc.ernet.in/kvpy)

IIT-JEE 2010: Those obtaining a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and securing a rank in the regular merit list.

State/Central Board (Direct Admissions): Students qualifying in Class XII in 2009 or 2010 in Science Stream. The State/Central Board must be recognized by the MHRD. The cut-off percentages for the Boards for Class X and XII are given at http://www.iiser-admissions.in/marks/ Applications for admission are to be submitted online at http://www.iiser-admissions.in/ between 15th March and 2nd April 2010 for KVPY applicants; between 9th June and 18th June, 2010, for IIT-JEE applicants and between 15th June and 2nd July, 2010 for State/Central Boards (Direct Admissions).

Aptitude assessment and counseling will be held on 18th May 2010 for KVPY stream, 3rd July 2010 for IIT-JEE Stream and 18th July 2010 for State/Central Boards Stream (Direct Admissions). Those joining IISERs for the 5 Year Integrated Dual BS-MS Programmes will be awarded the INSPIRE/KVPY Scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month.
