All reservations (SC, ST, OBC, Wards of Defence Personnel, Displaced Kashmiri Migrants, Visually- and Physically-challenged) as per GOI & UGC guidelines. Candidates admitted to full-time M. Phil. and Ph.D. will receive UGC scholarships of Rs. 3000/-p.m. and Rs. 5000/- p.m. respectively. For programmes marked *contact: The Director, EFL University (North-East Campus), NEHU Permanent Complex, Umshing-Mawkynroh, SHILLONG – 793022. For all other programmes application forms can be obtained from 1-5-2008 onwards from Publications Unit, EFL University, Hyderabad – 500 605 on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/ Visually- and Physically-challenged on production of proof) in cash or in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Registrar, EFL University, payable at Hyderabad. For B. Ed. DD in favour of Programme Coordinator, B. Ed. English. Write “Request for Application” on envelope and specify Programme of study. Application Forms, Admit Pass and Model Papers can be downloaded from the EFL-U website www.efluniversity.ac.in. When submitting downloaded application forms enclose DD for Rs. 500/- (or Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/Visually- and Physically-challenged). Candidates applying for more than one programme may obtain additional forms by paying Rs. 50/- for each additional form (non-transferable).

Entrance Tests are compulsory for all programmes. Test Centres (subject to a minimum number of candidates) at: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Shillong, Udaipur. (For programme marked** Armed Services Personnel are exempted from the Entrance Test.)

ATTENTION:
EFL University, under agreement with People’s Friendship University, Moscow, and St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, is starting a 1-year preparatory course in Russian on completion of which students could be admitted to medical, engineering and other courses of those universities.

ELIGIBILITY:
M.Sc. in Forestry: 4 years B.Sc. in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Horticulture. 3 years B.Sc. in Botany & Zoology is also eligible to apply, but they will have to undergo additional one year Bridge Course.

M.Tech. in Farm Machinery & Power: B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent in Agricultural Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.

M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Engineering: B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Mechanical Engg./ Chemical Engineering.

M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering: B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering.

M.Tech. in Power System Engineering: B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Electronics Engineering/ Power System Engineering.

M.Tech. in Information Technology: B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engg./ Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology.

M.Tech. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing & Automation: B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering.

MBA: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognised by Association of Indian University (AIU) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

For Admission to M.Sc. and M.Tech. programmes candidates must have at least 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 3.25 out of 5.00 point scale for General Category with valid GATE score. 5% marks will be relaxed to the candidates of SC/ST/PH category for all the programmes.

Admission Procedure: Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of Written Test and/or Interview for M.Sc. and M.Tech. Programmes and Written Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview for MBA Programmes.

Reservation of Seats will be as per Central Govt. Rules.

Scholarships: The GAE qualified candidates admitted to the AICTE approved courses are eligible for Scholarships/ Stipend and book grants by the AICTE.

Information Brochure and Application form may be obtained from 28th April, 2008, either personally from the PG & R Cell of the Academic Section of the Institute on Cash payment of Rs.500/- during office hours or sending a request along with a Demand Draft of Rs.550/- in favour of “DIRECTOR, NERIST” payable at State Bank of India, Nirjuli (Code No.9535). Brochure and forms will be issued from 15th January,2007. Last Date of issue of the Brochure along with the application form is 23rd May, 2008. The filled in Application Form to the Office of the undersigned on or before 30th May, 2008. Application form received after 30th May, 2008 will not be considered in any case.
