Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination 2010

The Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges (Uttaranchal Council of Entrance Examination) would be conducting the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination for admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS course for the year 2010

Eligibility:

a) MBBS /BDS/BAMS : The Candidate must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ISC/ Intermediate or its equivalent. After a period of 12 years of study. The last two years of such study comprising Physics , Chemistry, Biology and English from a Recognized Board/University and must have passed in all the above subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together in the qualifying examination In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBCs the marks obtained in be Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together in the qualifying examination be 40% in lieu of 50% for general Candidates.

(b) BHMS : The candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be eligible.

The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination (XII) and result is not yet available are also eligible to appear in the common pre –medical entrance examination but such candidates shall submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination (XII) on and before the date specified in the information brochure.

Admission to Ph.D. Programme for 2010-2011




National Institute of Plant Genome Research, is an Autonomous Research Institution, funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and conducts basic and applied research in the frontier areas of plant biology. The Institute invites applications from candidates who have completed or will be completing M. Sc. (by August 31, 2010) in Life Science or equivalent in related disciplines with minimum 55% marks, and have cleared the CSIR-UGC NET exam / DBT-JRF (selected through BET/BINC) / ICMR NET exam for JRF (with a valid Junior Research Fellowship as on September 1, 2010), for conducting advanced researches in the frontier areas of Plant Biology such as, Computational Biology, Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping, Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress Responses, Nutritional Genomics, Plant Development and Architecture, Plant Immunity, Transgenics for crop improvement etc. Reservations are as per statutory norms. The selection will be made on the basis of interview only.

The selected candidates will be enrolled for Ph.D. program in academic affiliation with the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. NIPGR will provide shared accommodation to selected candidates.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

  • Application should be typed on A-4 size plain paper in the format given
  • Item 3 and 5 in the format should be filled in as shown in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Each page in the typed application form should be signed by the candidate.
  • Completed application must be accompanied with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- in favor of Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, payable at New Delhi. A demand draft of Rs. 100/- is acceptable from SC/ST candidate provided relevant documentary proof is enclosed. The Demand Draft is not refundable.
  • Application should be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained and Fellowship Award Letter/Admit Card.
  • Two passport size recent photographs should be enclosed. One of these should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form, while the other should be enclosed.
  • Application along with Demand Draft should be sent to "The Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, J.N.U. Campus, Post Box No. 10531, New Delhi-110 067" so as to reach on or before May 24, 2010.
  • Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be entertained. The decision of the Institute will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • NIPGR will not provide any travel expenses to candidates appearing for interview.

ADMISSION TO MBA PROGRAMME - 2010, BASED ON CAT-2009

Applications are invited for admission to full-time MBA Programme 2010 – 2012 at Mesra, and BIT Extension Centres at Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, and Noida.

Eligibility:
(A) Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2009.
(B) They must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3) in any discipline. Candidates of B.Sc. / B.A. / B. Com. Honours must have minimum 55% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in their Honours subject. Candidates of other graduate courses must have minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST) in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects). Candidates graduating in 2010 can also apply, provided they have at least 55% marks (45% for SC/ST) at the time of applying. They must submit marksheets by 31 Oct 2010. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals, and have passed the programme.
(C) Candidates must have Verbal Percentile at least 40 (25 for SC/ST) and Total Percentile at least 40 (25 for SC/ST) in CAT-2009. Selection Procedure: Provisional selections will be based on Total Percentile in CAT-2009 of candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above. All notifications will be on our website. No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.

To apply for the programme, eligible candidates must fill in the online application form on our website, and send printout with requisite enclosures and crossed DD for Rs. 1,200/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, by 7 May 2010, at the address below. The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 5 April 2010 to 4 pm on 5 May 2010. The Institute will use CAT- 2009 for short-listing candidates for its full-time MBA programme. The IIM’s have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Admission Procedure : Candidates applying for MBA are required to have appeared in CAT-2009. The admission to MBA will be on the basis of CAT score. Cutoff percentile and selection criteria in case of tie in CAT score shall be decided by the Institute.

Sponsored candidates will be selected through institute test/interview. Sponsored candidates should have atleast two years experience (after graduation) in Government/Semi Government organization/ private industry of repute.
