M.C.A. (Regular) and M.C.A. (Evening – SS) : Should be a pass in any recognised Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration (10+2+3 years) in any discipline with Mathematics or Business Mathematics at +2 level (or) with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

Mode of Selection: The selection is based on the marks obtained in the respective Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2009 conducted by Anna University Chennai, Chennai 25.

Separate Application has to be submitted for (1) M.B.A. (Regular), (2) M.B.A. (Part-Time - SS) and a common application form for (3) M.C.A. (Regular / Evening – SS) Degree Programmes.

The filled in applications should be sent to the Director, Admissions, Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 25.

Admission 2009 to M. Sc. Biotechnology

Dibrugarh University alongwith Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Lahoal, Dibrugarh had been jointly conducting a Master of Science (M.Sc.) course in Biotechnology from the Session 2005-2006. The course consists of 4 (four) semesters with a total duration of 2 (two) years.

Eligibility criteria for admission:

• Candidates having Bachelor degree of any recognised University/Institution in Biological Sciences/Agricultural Sciences/Veterinary Sciences/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Medical Sciences with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and having chemistry as one of the optional subjects/ or chemistry paper (s) with equivalent weightage at the undergraduate level are eligible to apply for the course.
• Candidates appearing/due to appear in the final year of their respective qualifying examinations in April/May 2009 are also eligible to apply but their eligibility for admission shall be considered only when they obtain the minimum qualifying marks and produce original marksheet of the final year at the time of admission.
  

How to apply :

Applications in prescribed forms obtainable from the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Dibrugarh University on payment of Rs.400/- ( Rs. 300/- for brochure and Rs. 100/- as Entrance test fees) in cash or through Demand Draft (DD) in favour of the Registrar, Dibrugarh University drawn at the State Bank of India, Dibrugarh University Branch (Code No. 2051). Prospectus cum application forms can also be obtained through post by sending a request letter along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 450/- and a self-addressed envelope of A4 size, to the Deputy Registrar (Academic) Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh 786004. The University however, will not be responsible for non- delivery/ late delivery of forms sent via post. Downloaded forms from University website accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- as particulars mentioned above are also acceptable.

Completed Application forms accompanied by attested copies of all relevant documents are to be submitted to the Director in-charge, Centre for Studies in Biotechnology, Dibrugarh University on or before the last date of submission of application forms.

ICMR INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites applications from Indian biomedical scientists for the international fellowships for the year 2009-10.

Number of fellowships: Young scientists-12; Senior scientists-6

Duration: 3-6 months for young scientists and 10-15 days for senior scientists

Eligibility:

• M.D/PhD degree with at least three years teaching/research experience for young scientists and at least fifteen years teaching/research experience for senior scientists.
• Regular position in a recognized biomedical/research/health institution in India .
• Below 45 years of age for young and 55 years for senior scientists.
