Desirable Qualifications for both M.A. & Ph.D. Courses:
Knowledge of one classical/ foreign language such as Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, Greek, Latin, German, French, Italian, etc.
NB:
i) Good academic record with 50% & above marks at Graduate level is essential for admission to M.A. courses and 55% & above marks at post-graduate level for admission to Ph.D. Courses.
ii) Candidates seeking admission to M.A. courses, will have to pass a written test followed by interview.
iii) For admission to Ph.D. courses, in-service personnel working with central Government/State Government/ Autonomous organization/ Universities funded by Central or State Government/ NGOs with at least 5 years regular service, having the above required qualification, will also be eligible to apply and will be given preference.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE:

The programme is of 80 credits, 20 Credits in each of the 04 semesters. One credit is equivalent to 30 hours of trainees' work, which includes contact hours, assignments and self-study etc.

Foundation Courses: (common to all).

b) Second Semester (20 Credits) – 05 Courses
Elective, Engineering/Technology Courses: 02 Nos. (relevant discipline)
Elective, Stream specific courses: 1 No.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

1. First Class Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/ Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or equivalent Degree in any branch of engineering from a recognized University.
2. At least 03 years experience in teaching/industry/administration in Technical Education System.
3. Sponsorship by the competent authority, and
