The Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to LL.M. programme will be held on Saturday, 21.06.2008. Prospectus containing application form (price Rs. 150/-) is available at the Reception Counter of the Institute on all working days between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 06.05.2008. The Prospectus can also be obtained by post from the Institute on payment of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of Indian Law Institute payable at New Delhi along with a self-addressed envelope of 24x30 cms size. M.Phil Admissions
The Institute invites applications for admission to one year M. Phil. Programme of study in Social Sciences with core papers in Research Methodology and Dr. Ambedkar’s Thought and Contemporary Socioeconomic Issues of Indian Society; and any two optional papers from : Life and Philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar; The Development of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes; Rural Development and Panchayat Raj; Women & Child Development; and Social Development and Justice. Besides, the candidate will be required to write a dissertation in one of the related topics, to be decided by the Institute.

SEATS & RESERVATION
Total seats are 47 (42 seats with fellowship and 5 seats without fellowship, to be filled in by sponsored candidates on merit basis). Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and girls will be as per M.P. Govt. rules. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls, subject to availability of seats.

FELLOWSHIP & CONTINGENCY
For M.Phil., Rs. 1,500/- p.m. and contingency of Rs. 2,000/- per year.

ELIGIBILITY
A post-graduate degree in any subject from a recognized university under faculties of Social Sciences, Education, Law, Women & Child Development in the Faculty of Home Science, and Philosophy in the Faculty of Humanities, with a minimum of 50% for SC/ST and 55% for Others candidates. The candidates appearing for post-graduation final examination of 2008 can also apply. A candidate who has already done M. Phil. will not to be eligible. JRF awarders may directly apply for admission and need not appear for entrance test.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection will be based on a written test and an oral test. The written test of 100 marks will be of three hours duration. It will consist of three questions, one on theory, one on research methodology and one pertaining to

Desirous candidates may apply on plain paper, as per the proforma given below, along with a D.D. of Rs. 25/- for SC and ST candidates and Rs. 50/- in case of others in favour of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Institute of Social Sciences, payable at Mhow. The format- may also be downloaded from the Institute website. The duly filled in applications must reach to Registrar at the office address latest by 31-05-2008.

PLEASE NOTE
1. Attach 2 self - dressed 9” x 6“ envelopes with the application form.
2. The candidates are advised to send their application in person or by registered post. No acknowledgment will be sent separately.
3. Admission card and information brochure will be sent on receipt of application (however, all eligible applicants who have sent their application in time should appear in the Entrance Test without waiting for the Admission Card from the Institute).
4. SC/ST candidates must bring photocopy of railway ticket/original bus ticket and Caste Certificate.
5. The Institute reserves the right to decide the subject of Post - Graduation for eligibility and not to fill up all seats.

Applications are invited on prescribed forms for admission to the 1st year of following courses for the academic session 2008-2009. Entrance test for admission will be conducted on 15th June-08 at Delhi by University of Delhi.

Eligibility Conditions:
Course
1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Duration: 4 ½ years
Eligibility qualification: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE)

2. Bachelor of Occupational therapy (BOT)
Duration: 4 ½ years
Eligibility qualification: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE)

3. Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO)
Duration: 4 ½ years
Eligibility qualification: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE/PCME)

Eligibility Qualification:
SSC Examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP category in the aggregate of four subjects viz. PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidates appearing/ appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply. However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test.

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2005 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Age as on 01.10.2008 : Minimum of 17 years. Maximum of 23 years for General Category and 28 years for SC,ST & PH Category

Prospectus will be available for BPT/BOT and BPO courses at following costs.
