NISH is starting three new degree courses for the hearing impaired students who have passed Plus Two.

2. MASTER IN AUDIOLOGY AND SPEECH- LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY (MASLP)

NISH invites applications for admission to Master in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) course for the year 2008-09. The duration of the course is 2 years. The course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and is affiliated to the University of Kerala.

The minimum eligibility for admission is Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Application Forms duly filled in along with the required certificates should reach the Institute on or before August 6, 2008.


3. DIPLOMA IN TEACHING YOUNG HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN (DTYHI)

NISH is conducting a one year Diploma in Teaching Young Hearing-Impaired Children (DTYHI) , an under graduate course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The main aim of the course is to generate qualified professionals for the Pre-school program.

Graduateship (AMIETE) :- Age not less than 16 year, 10+2 or Equivalent with Physics & Maths and working experience in relevant field OR Diploma.

Diploma (DipIETE):- Age not less than 14 years, 10th or equivalent with General Science and working experience in relevant field OR studying for higher qualification with Physics/ Maths/ Engineering.

AMIETE (Degree Level):- Examination is recognized by Govt. of India and UPSC for higher education.

DipIETE (Diploma Level):- Examination is recognised by Govt of India for Subordinate Posts & Services and a number of State Govts. and Union Territories.


IETE Conducts examinations every six months in June and December at its 41 Centres in India and aborad.

Students must specify the stream (ET, CS or IT) and course (AMIETE or DipIETE) when demanding Prospectus.

Students can enroll anytime during the year. However, last date for enrollment for Dec. 2008 exam is 31Aug. 2008 and for June 2009 exam is 28, Feb. 2009.
