Admission Notice for Master of Computer Application MCA for Session 2009-12

Eligibility for admission: Candidates who have passed BCA/BA/B.Sc/B.Com TDC Examinations with at least 45 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized University and having previously passed the H.S. (+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the MCA programme. A relaxation of 5% of marks is allowed for SC/ST/OBC and Physically handicapped candidates.

Procedure for admission: The interested candidates are required to download Prospectus–cum–Application form from the Tripura University website: www.tripurauniversity.in. In case of any difficulty, the application form only may be collected free of cost from the office of the Hony. Director, Directorate of Professional Studies (DPS), Tripura University, Suryamaninagar-799130 befor the last date of submission.

The completed application form, along with relevant documents and an A/C payee Demand Draft of Rs. 150/- from any branch of State Bank of India drawn in favour of “Directorate of Professional Studies, Tripura University” payable at State Bank of India, Tripura University Campus Branch (Code No.: 10495), may be submitted through Registered Post/ Speed Post/ In Person within the last date of submission of application form as notified in advertisement to the following address:

Instead of an A/C payee Demand Draft any candidate can attach a copy of the Bank Challan (A/C No. 10333227475) with his/ her completed Application form at the time of submission after depositing Rs. 150/- to the counter of State Bank of India, Tripura University Campus Branch, Suryamaninagar. The Bank Challan shall be available at the above mentioned office. The candidate who will submit his/ her completed application form through post must attach a self addressed envelope (21cm X 27cm) affixed with a postal stamp of Rs. 25/- to receive acknowledgment cum Admit Card.

Eligibility: Graduate (honours or pass) / Post Graduate in Commerce/ Science/ Arts/ Management from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or Graduate/ Post Graduate in Engineering/ Technology/ Computer Application/ Medical Science/ Pharmacy/ Agriculture with at least 60% marks in aggregate and having a minimum composite score of 500 in the MAT (Management Aptitude Test) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi are eligible to apply for admission in MBA course in the School of Management. Candidates appearing in their final degree examinations are also eligible to apply provided they have secured minimum of a composite score of 500 in the MAT. Candidates selected for admission in MBA Programme will be required to submit their degree marksheets on or before the last date of admission.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of MAT score, past academic records, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates short-listed on the basis of MAT scores will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at School of Management, Tripura University.

How to Apply: Applicants seeking admission in the MBA Programme of Tripura University may obtain Prospectus and Application Forms for MBA Programme in person between 11.am and 3.00 pm from the office of School of Management, Tripura University, Suryamaninagar-799130 on all working days (Monday to Friday) on payment of Rs.250/- only. Prospectus and Application Form can also be obtained through post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.250/- in favour of ‘School of Management, Tripura University’, payable at SBI, Tripura University Campus Branch (code 10495) along with a self addressed stamped (Rs.35/-) envelope to School of Management, Tripura University, Suryamaninagar-799130, West Tripura. Application form can also be downloaded from the University website (www.tripurauniversity.in). In that case, a draft for Rs.250/- will have to be sent along with the application form. To be considered, applicant must: (1) have secured at least 50%in their graduate degree program (any degree). (2) Successfully clear the entrance examination conducted by Pondicherry University (except for students from South Asian countries) for the batch (2009-2011) the last date for applying for the course has been extended till June 30th 2009.

The application form can be submitted through ONLINE . Send the hard copy (in A4 size) along with original bank challan for the prescribed fee and the copies of required certificates to The Deputy Registrar (Academic II) Pondicherry University, R.V. Request for application must be superscribed on the envelope " Request for application form for Admission".

Application Fee : For all courses Rs.100/-, Rs.50/- for SC/ST, Free of Cost for physically and visually challenged candidates subject to submission of relevant certificates.Use separate application form for each programme. The application form can also be obtained from the Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Credit Society at the University Campus on payment of the the cost of application form plus Rs.10/- as service charge
