M.Tech (Petroleum Exploration) Admission Announcement 2010-11

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Government of India has set up the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh through an act of Parliament. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by OIDB and six leading Oil Public Sector Units (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL).

The Institute invites application for admission to new program of M.Tech (Petroleum Exploration) for the Academic session 2010-2011.

Eligibility: Candidates should

1. Have a Master of Science degree (1st Division / CPI= 6.0 ) in any one of the following disciplines from any AICTE approved Institute, State/Central University or Institute created under an Act of Parliament
a) Geology
b) Geophysics

2. Have a valid GATE score at the time of admission (Or) be sponsored by their employers and have at least 2 years work experience with the sponsoring employer. (All the expenses should be borne by the employer and the candidate will be on leave with a right to return to his/her job with the employer).

How to Apply:
  • Interested candidates should fill the attached Application Form. Photocopies of certificates, M.Sc. mark sheets and GATE score card and category certificates must be attached with the application.
  • Completed applications should reach Coordinator, M.Tech (Petroleum Engineering) programme, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Ratapur Chowk, Rae Bareli- 229 316, Uttar Pradesh on or before 15th June 2010.
