B.Tech. (Part Time) Entrance Examination 2010

Delhi Technological University will hold an Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the four year B.Tech. (Part-time) Degree Program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, for the academic year 2010-2011 on 20.06.2010 (Sunday).

The candidate, who Have passed State Diploma Examination in Engineering of three years duration & Have served for a period of not less than One year as on 1st day of October, 2010 in an established engineering works/ organization, located in the NCT Delhi and contiguous industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

The bulletin of information containing details of the admission procedure, Application form and Syllabus of the Entrance Examination is available from B.Tech. (Part Time) office, Room No. FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering Department, w.e.f. 15.04.2010 on all working days (Monday to saturday) between 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm on submission of Crossed Bank Draft/ pay order of Rs. 750/- issued from State Bank of India only drawn in favour of 'The Co-ordinator B.Tech. (evening) Entrance Examination 2010' payable at Delhi.

The last date of Sale of Application Form at DTU in person is 17.05.2010 till 5.00 pm.
The Completed Application Form should reach the Deputy Co-ordinator (Admn.) on or before 17.05.2010 latest by 7.00 pm either in person or by post.
Applications received after 17.05.2010 will not be considered, in any case.

Criteria for qualification of PhD interviews at ARIES:

M. Sc. Physics/Astrophysics with minimum 55%

JEST-2010 qualified (90 percentile and above) or
CSIR-NET (JRF) qualified or
GATE - 2010 qualified (30 marks and above) or
GATE - 2009 qualified (95 percentile and above)

The candidate must be passed M. Sc. on or after 2007.

Maximum age on 1 August 2010 should not be more than 28 years.

Students who are appearing in M. Sc. final year exam can appear before the interview, but, if selected have to furnish the proof of M. Sc. qualification (with minimum marks 55%) before joining as JRF at ARIES.

Candidates who are JEST qualified need not apply. ARIES will issue the interview letters to such candidates.

ADMISSION NOTICE FOR MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. COURSES-2010

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2010 SCREENING and PMT-2010 MAIN, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (78 seats) and B. Pharm. (33 seats) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2010 Screening. PMT-2010 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2010 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2010 SCREENING only.

Qualifications - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

Distribution of Seats: M.B.B.S.(84 seats) : General - 42; OBC – 23; SC – 13 and ST – 6; BDS (38 seats): General – 19; OBC – 10; SC – 6 and ST – 3; BAMS (78 seats) : General – 36; Foreign National – 3; OBC – 21; SC – 12 and ST – 6; B.Pharm. (33 seats): General – 17; OBC – 9; SC – 5 and ST – 2. Three percent seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates in all the categories of the above courses.

Age: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2010 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1994 and on or before 31st December, 1985 need not apply).

How to Apply : Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by TUESDAY, the 9th March 2010 till 5.00 PM. Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted. Foreign Nationals are not required to appear in the PMT examination for MBBS/BAMS course. They may seek admission through the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as per the rules laid down for the purpose and their nomination must reach by Thursday, the 15th July 2010.

The Banaras Hindu University will hold an all India written entrance test for admission to Ayurveda Vachaspati [MD(Ay)]/Ayurveda Dhanwantari [MS(Ay)] course [in the subjects - Ayurveda Samhita, Ayurveda Siddhanta, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Kayachikitsa, Kriya Sharira, Kaumarbhritya-Balaroga, Prasuti Tantra Evam Stree Roga, Rachana Sharira, Rasa Shastra, Roga Nidana evam Vikriti Vigyana, Sangyaharan, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra-Netra Roga, and Swasthavritta] on Sunday, the 27th June, 2010 on its Campus Banaras Hindu University.
ELIGIBILITY: Qualification (a) BAMS recognized by CCIM. (b) MBBS recognized by MCI (for supernumerary category only). (c) The candidate must have completed 12 months rotating internship (4 ½ years BAMS course) / 6 months rotating internship (5 years BAMS course) by 31.07.2010. AGE- The Upper age limit for admission will be 35 years for General and OBC Category and 40 years for SC/ST on 31.07.2010. There is no age limit for Sponsored Category.

The application form along with information brochure can either be downloaded from website (www.bhu.ac.in & www.imsbhu.nic.in). or can be obtained from the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi-221005 on or before 03.04.10 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with a demand draft (MICR) of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi along with two self addressed white paper slips of 10 cm x 6 cm size, from 16.02.2010 to 16.04.2010. On the envelop please write "Application for MD(Ay)/MS(Ay) Entrance Test - 2010, BHU". The request for application form by post must reach on or before 03.04.2010.

The last date for submission of completed application form accompanied by DD/Banker's Cheque (MICR) of Rs. 1200/- (Rs 900 /- for SC and ST) is 20.04.2010 upto 5.00 PM. The Institute will not be responsible for loss of application form in transit.
