Admission Notice 2009-10

Admission to various undergraduate courses in the college of the academic session 2009-10 shall be done on the basis of CET-2009/ AIEEE-2009 merit through online counselling as per the schedule and other guidelines issued by the Punjab Technical University, Jallandhar, which are available on the following websites of the PTU : www.ptu.ac.in and www.ptuadmissions.nic.in

The online counselling shall comprise of the following three steps:
  • Deposti of counselling fees of Rs. 2500/- in the banks designated by the PTU
  • Registration for online counselling on PTU website
  • Exercising the choices for Institute/ Branch online by the registered candidates

Admission in 1st Year of B.Tech. courses is based on CET/AIEEE merit and online counselling. Admission to 1st Years of B.Tech. courses is based on 10+2 with Maths/ Diploma and NATA Test for which manual counselling will be conducted by the PTU. The details of no. of seats available for admission to 1st year of B.Tech./ B.Arch. course are as follows:
  • Architecture: 40 Seats
  • Civil Engineering: 60Seats
  • Computer Sc. and Engg.: 60 Seats
  • Electronics and Comm. Engg.: 40 Seats
  • Electrical Engineering: 60 Seats
  • Mechanical Engineering: 60 Seats
  • Textile Engineering: 30 Seats

Admission Notice 2009 to BA/B.Com Distance Education

The School of Distance Education offers two different streams of admission to the B.A/B.Com Degree Courses : Regular and Open Streams.

Eligibility: All those who have attained the age of 18 years by the first day of July during the year of admission are eligible to apply for the entrance examination.

How to Apply: The students desirous of joining for the Degree Course have to submit application online. For access to online application visit the home page of website www.universityofcalicut.info and click the link Open Stream Entrance Examination 2009. Before filling the application form the recent passport size photograph be scanned and kept in JPEG Format. Remit the fee by chalan/DDtowards the application fee. Photo in the printout of the application should be attested by Gazetted Officer. The printout, along with attested copies of documents proving age, caste (if SC/ST) and chalan/DD should be submitted to the Director, School of Distance Education in any of the manner given below and study materials and question bank obtained. Candidates should keep the online Reg.No. for the purpose of downloading the Hall Ticket.
