Ph.D. Admission 2010-2011

Application are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme starting from July 2010 in the disciplines of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Philosophy.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Admission

Engineering and Science: Masters degree in relevant branch of engineering/ technology or science with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index of 6.5 or 60% of marks or B.Tech. degree from an Indian Institute of Technology with a minimum CPI of 7.00

Economics and Philosophy: Masters degree in Arts/ Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent or Masters degree in science / Engineering with a minimum CPI of 6.5. or 60% marks or B.Tech. from an Indian Institute of Technology with a minimum CPI of 7.00

Category of Admission: The Institute admits Ph.d. students under the categories of: Teachning Assistantship/ Research Assistantship. Govt./ Semi- Govt. Fellowship Awardees (QIP, CSIR, UGC, DBT, NBIIM etc.) Sponsored candidates.

Except for Sponsored Candidates, all the candidates should have qualified GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR
