Applications are invited for admission to the first semester of M.Tech Courses in the subjects mentioned below under the faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of Calcutta for the Academic Session 2009-2010. Final Year BE/ B.Tech Candidate may also apply.

Admission Notice for M.Tech courses under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology for the session 2009-10

2 year( 4 Semester) M.Tech. Course in Computer Science & Engineering. In the Department of Computer Science & Engineering

Eligibility: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science & Technology, MCA (with B.Sc. Honours in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Electronics Science ) or M.Sc in Computer & Information Science (with B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science from University of Calcutta ) or equivalent degree in Computer Science from other University.

2 year (4 Semester) M.Tech Course In the Department of Chemical Engineering

Eligibility: B.Tech. in Chemical engineering of University of Calcutta or equivalent degree from other Universities, IIT’s & NIT’s duly approved by the AICTE.

2 year (4 Semester) M.Tech. Courses in

• Ceramic Engineering ,
• Oil Technology ,
• Petrochemical & Refinery Engineering ,
• Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Technology in the Department of Chemical Technology.

Eligibility:

• For M.Tech. Course in Ceramic Engineering, the candidates should possess B.Tech. in Chemical Technology of Calcutta University BE /B.Tech in Ceramic Technology /Chemical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering / Material Science and Technology from any recognized Univ./ AICTE recognized Institution equivalent to C.U. B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Ceramic Engineering).
• For M.Tech. Course in Oil Technology B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Oil Technology) of Calcutta University or BE/B.Tech Degree from any recognized Univ./ AICTE recognized Institution equivalent to C.U. B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Oil Technology).
• For M.Tech Course in Petrochemical & Petrolium Refinery Engg. B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Petrochemical & Petrolium Refinery Engg) of Calcutta University or BE/B.Tech Degree from any recognized Univ./ AICTE recognized Institution equivalent to C.U. B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Petrochemical & Petrolium Refinery Engg).
• For M.Tech Course in Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Technology, B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Technology) of Calcutta University or BE/B.Tech Degree from any recognized Univ./AICTE recognized Institution equivalent to C.U. B.Tech in Chemical Technology (Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Technology).

2 year (4 Semester)M.Tech. Course. in the Department of Polymer Science & Technology.

Eligibility: B.E. /B.Tech in Polymer Science and Technology / Polymer engineering / Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology or equivalent from any recognized Univ./AICTE recognized Institution.
