BECOME A SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICER IN THE
TECHNICAL BRANCH (GENERAL SERVICE)

Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Technical Branches (Engineering and Electrical) of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jan 2010 at NAVAC Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfill condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Eligibility Condition:

Age: 19 ½ to 25 years (candidate to be born between 02 Jan 1985 to 01 Jul 1990; both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualifications: BE/B Tech (or equivalent) from Recognized University or AMIE with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all the semesters (including I & II ), divided by total number of semesters, in any of the following disciplines :-

Engineering Branch:
(i) Mechanical, (ii) Production, (iii) Aeronautical, (iv) Marine, (v) Control.

Electrical Branch:
(i) Electrical, (ii) Electronics, (iii) Telecommunications, (iv) Avionics, (v) Instrumentation & Control.

Physical Standard:
Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight,
Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
