Job Oriented Certificate Course on Rolling Technology/ Steel Making Technology

Starting from: September/October, 2008


OBJECTIVES:
To provide trained manpower to Rolling Mills/Steel Making Industry. The trained personnel would be suitable for supervisory position.

ELIGIBILITY:
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Candidates with Diploma in Mechanical /Metallurgy or B.Sc. will be given preference.

COURSE DURATION AND STRUCTURE:
The course will be divided into three semesters of 6 months duration each. There will be four to five theory papers and two to three practical subjects in each semester.

The student will be required to attend at the enrolled centre for counselling and practical classes once in every week. Study material will be provided from the centres.

CENTRES:
The courses are conducted at Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab), Nagpur, Kolkata, Pune, and Raipur in collaboration with Visveswaraya, National Institute of Technology, Nagpur Bengal Engineering. & Science University, Shibpur, Howrah, Pune Institute of Engineering. & Technology, Pune, NIT, Raipur respectively.

FEES:
Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) per student per semester. To be deposited at the time of selection.

The admission forms and prospectus can be had from the addresses given below by sending a DD for Rs. 400/- (Rupees four hundred only) in favour of NISST, payable at Mandi Gobindgarh/Nagpur/Kolkata or by cash.
