ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

With a view to meet the immediate trained human resource requirements of the IT and ITES industries, Department of Information Technology (DIT), Govt. of India, has taken up an initiative to set up Training for Professional Program for engineering graduates. ABV-IITM, Gwalior is conducting Training for Professional Programme for a period of 12 weeks, from September - 01, November - 30, 2008. The Institute has taken up the responsibility of training about 50 engineering graduates. This effort has twin objectives of (i) offering suitable candidates to IT industry and (ii) helping young graduates to find jobs by inculcating IT and soft skills components through appropriate training. The programme offers rich inputs to enhance and sharpen the required skills among the engineering graduates and make them employable in the IT and ITES industry. The institute will endeavor attempts to secure the job for the participants in the programme. It may however be noted that this programme does not guarantee employment and candidates will not be treated as students of ABV-IIITM, Gwalior. The programme will be delivered by the faculty of ABV-IIITM, Gwalior with additional support from practicing executives from the IT and ITES industry.


ELIGIBILITY:
B.E./N.TECH/ MCA/MBA/ M.Sc. CSE and M.Sc IT of recognized institutes/ colleges who have completed their programmes in 2008 or earlier and are unemployed are eligible to attend the programme. The candidates have to declare that they have not obtained a full time job while applying for this special programme.


SELECTION:
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of academic performance/ Test in the engineering degree. Reservations, as per Government of India norms, shall apply.
