CENTRE FOR OFF CAMPUS EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

Centre for Off Campus Education & Research in SDOCE invites applications for the following courses from the qualified candidates, for the Academic year 2008-09.

A. Advanced Programmes of Research:
D.Lit/D.Phil in Dravidian Languages, History, Philosophy, Culture and Indian Society and Civilization in general with emphasis on comparative and inter-disciplinary approaches.

D.Lit/ D.Phil: Course Details:
i) Should register on a new topic other than that of their Ph.D.
ii) Should work independently of the Research Guide.
iii) Should present a seminar before an expert committee or submit a research paper once in 6 months (at least two seminars are must before the submission of the thesis)

Eligibility for D.Lit:
i) Ph.D. in the concerned subject and
ii) A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching or any other related area and
iii) A minimum 20 published articles in recognized research journals OR Two research works of not less than 200 pages each other than Ph.D. Fee: Rs. 16,000/- pa

Eligibility for D.Phil:
i) M.A. in the concerned subject.
ii) A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching or in any other relevant area, and
iii) A minimum of 5 published articles in recognized research journals OR One research work of not less than 200 pages. Fee: Rs.12,000/- pa

Duration: A minimum of TWO years and a maximum period of FIVE years for both D.Lit and

B. M.Phil/Ph.D in Telugu/ Tamil/ Kannada/ Malayalam/ English/ History/ Sociology/
Economics/Political Science/ Public Administration/ Anthropology/ Education/ Philosophy/ Psychology/ Commerce and Management/ Fine-Arts/ Jyothisyam/ Physical Education/ Dance & Music/ Journalism.


C. Special Programmes in Translation:

1. Ph.D in Translation Studies:
Eligibility: P.G with 50% marks and Two published research articles OR M.Phil with 50% of marks.

2. M.Phil in Translation Studies:
Eligibility: Any Post Graduate with 50% of marks.

3. M.A in Translation Studies:
Eligibility:
i) Any Graduate with 50% of marks.
ii) Those who are doing their P.G. are also eligible for appearing for the first year examination in their second year.

4. D.Phil in Translation Studies:
Eligibility:
I) Any Post Graduate with 50% marks.
ii) At least 5 years of experience in teaching or related field.
iii) Published work of translation of not less than 200 pages.
