Applications on prescribed forms are invited from candidates belonging to U.P. and other states by Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut for admission to B.Tech. 4-years degree course in EC, EI, CS, IT, ME, Chemical Engg. and Agri. Engg. in the AICTE approved SIR CHHOTU RAM INSTITUTE OF ENGG.& TECH. a campus Institute of the University. The entrance Examination for this purpose shall be conducted on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at MEERUT, GHAZIABAD, LUCKNOW and SAHARANPUR Centres only.

Eligibility:

1. Intermediate or equivalent (10+2) exam passed with percentages as speltout in the Brochure from Board/Universities which are recognised by UP Govt./CCS University with subjects as under:
(a) For EC, EI, CS, IT, Chemical Engg. and ME Branches- Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM)
(b) For Agri. Engg. - PCM or Agri. Subjects (F1 & F2 combined)
2. Candidates who have appeared in the Intermediate/ Equivalent exam (10+2) in 2008 can also appear in the entrance exam but their counseling will be held subject to their fulfilling the eligibility criteria as given in the Brochure.

India- Based Newtrino Observatory (INO) Collaboration announces admission to its Graduate Training Program leading to PH.D. degree

India- Based Newtrino Observatory (INO) Program is a mega science project to set up an underground laboratory for carrying out front-ranking experiments in high energy neutrino physics and astroparticle physics.

THE GRADUATE PROGRAM:
A large number of well trained physicists and engineers will be needed to lead the experimental activities in high energy and astroparticle physics to be carried out using the INO facility. In order to achieve this goal, a training program with strong emphasis on experimental high energy physics, astroparticle physics & observational astronomy will be started in August 2008

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

1. Applicants must hold a M.Sc degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or BE/BTech degree in Electronics, E & CE, Mechanical, Electrical engineering with a strong inclination for experimental sciences. Applicants must secured a minimum of 55% of marks in the respective degree examinations (those who are appearing for these examinations may also apply provided their current GPA is above 55% or equivalent).
