(securing more than 55% marks), age not exceeding to 28 years as on 30 June, 2009, and willing to take up challenges in modern biology through Ph.D. programme of the Institute. The candidates who have passed ICMR-JRF or CSIR/UGC NET examination will be paid fellowship as per the rules of these agencies. Other selected candidates will initially be paid Rs.8000/- per month and encouraged to seek higher fellowship from other funding agencies.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2009

Applications are invited for 5 Post-doctoral fellowships; 2 of which will be for in-service teachers. Fellowship amount will be Rs.28,000/-(consolidated) per month. Full pay protection will, however, be given to in-service teachers. Fellowship will also cover the infrastructural facilities available at the Centre along with the cost of software, field trip and other contingencies within the limit of Rs. 50,000/-p.a.

Tenure of the fellowship will initially be for 1 year extendable by 1 more year on the basis of appraisal.

Fellowship awardee is expected to research on a theme related to human development.

Eligibility: Ph.D in any of the disciplines of social sciences or humanities. Upper age limit should be 45 years.

How to apply: Each application should accompany the Bio-data of the candidate along with a write-up of about 2000 words on the proposed research theme and the abstract of the Ph.D thesis.

Radio Physics & Electronics - 2 Year (4 Semester Full time)

a) General Category : Candidates must posses any one of the following degrees:

(i) B.Tech degree in Radio Physics & Electronics of C.U.
(ii) B.Tech degree in Information Technology only of C.U.
(iii) A degree from any other University, equivalent to (I) above.
