Admission to Nursing Courses 2009

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, 2009 & M.Sc. Nursing, 2009

Eligibility criteria

Citizens of India who have obtained the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the respective courses:

M. Sc. NURSING: B. Sc. degree in Nursing / B. Sc. (Hons.) degree in Nursing/ Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from any Institution recognized by INC and the W.B. University of Health Sciences, The candidate must have one year of experience by 30.06.2009 as per INC criteria.

POST BASIC course for the degree of POST BASIC B. Sc. NURSING: The candidate must have
i) passed recognized Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination (those who have passed 10+1 before 1978 are also eligible to apply),
ii) obtained GNM certificate and be an ‘A’ Grade Nurse registered by the State Nursing Council, iii) worked for at least 2 years by 30/06/2009 as a Staff Nurse or Public Health Nurse or Nurse Teacher after obtaining the above mentioned certificate in a recognized body.

Submission of print-copy of forms at W.B. University of Health Sciences (except Saturday, Sunday and Holidays) between 18.03.2009 to 08.04.2009 (11.30 a.m. To 4.00 p.m. )

ADMISSION TO B.Sc. NURSING FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2008-2009

Application are invited in the prescribed form for admission to the I year B.Sc., Nursing course Under Management Quota.

Eligibility Requirement:

Must have passed II PUC examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subjects.

Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Nursing college sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of the Principal, Sanjay Gandhi College of Nursing, Byrasandra, Jayanagar East, Bangalore-560011 and payable at Bangalore or by payment of cash. Application can be obtained in person on all working days between 9.00 am to 4.00 pm or by post by enclosing a self addressed envelop of 25 cms x 18 cms size bearing postage stamp of Rs.25.
