ILBS is an autonomous super-speciality institute of excellence under Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. ILBS has a Deemed to be University status conferred to it by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.

The institute is starting DM/MCh 3-year courses, recognized by the Medical Council of India, in the academic session August 2010 as per the details given below:

Name of Course
DM Hepatology: 02 Seats
Eligibility: MD/ DNB in Medicine/ Pediatrics (MCI recognized)

MCh HPB Surgery: 02 Seats
Eligibility: MS in Genral Surgery (MCI recognized)

Applications on prescribed forms are invited from eligible candidates for admission test to the above courses.

How To Apply: Candidate may download the prospectus along with the application form from the ILBS website www.ilbs.in. Candidate must ensure their eligibility from the prospectus before applying. Application form duly filled in with all necessary documents attached should be submitted in person or sent by post to the Assistant Registrar, Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, D-1, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, 110070 on or

before 5.00 PM of 19 July, 2010. Application form must be accompanied by the application fee in form of Demand Draft for Rs. 2000/- (Rupees two thousand) only, payable at New Delhi, in favor of the "Director, ILBS, New Delhi". Application fee once paid will not be refunded even in cash of his/her application is rejected. The filled in applications received after the prescribed date and time shall not be considered.

The Institute will not responsible for non-receipt of applications or delay in postal transit. In-service candidate shall route their application forms through proper channel.

Procedure for Admission:
Selection of candidates for DM/MCh courses will be made on the basis of entrance test. All applications would be screened for eligibility and only the eligible candidates would be called for the entrance test. The schedule of entrance test is as follows:

Objective test: 25 July, 2010
Departmental Assessment: 27 July, 2010
