M.Phil. in Learning Disabilities
Admission Notification
The M.Phil. Course in Learning Disabilities is a full-time course in two semesters, aimed at providing theoretical knowledge and supervised training in the area of assessment and remediation of learning disabilities in children. The course involves theoretical papers covering various aspects of learning disabilities and related developmental disorders in children, as well as field work and case studies.
Number of seats : 10.
Course fee: Rs. 5000/- per semester
Eligibility for admission: M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology, with not less than 55% marks.

Date of Entrance Examination: 6th October 2008.
Admission procedure:
Admission to the course is based on marks in the qualifying examination and also marks secured in an entrance test at 1:1 ratio. Application forms can be obtained from the Department of Psychology, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, Thiruvananthapuram – 695581, on payment of Rs. 300/- as fee. The fee can be remitted at the University cash counter or in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, University of Kerala", payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The purpose of remittance and the name of the person for whom the remittance is made should be stated at the back of the DD. The filled up application form along with attested copies of the mark lists and other relevant certificates should be submitted to the Head, Department of Psychology, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, on or before 25th of September 2008. Eligible applicants will be called for a written test of about 1 hour duration, to be conducted at the Department of Psychology, Kariavattom at 11 a.m. on 6th October 2008.
