ADMISSION NOTICE
MBA PROGRAMME (2009-2011)
Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIMK) was established in July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Business India has ranked AIMK as ‘A’ Category B-School in India in 2007.
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks in aggregate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree by June 2009 may also apply.
Intake: Present batch size is 120 (80% seats for Army wards and 20% seats for General category)
Selection: Applicant shall have to appear in Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at AIM Kolkata for final selection.

(AIMK uses CAT score for shortlisting the candidates for two-year full time Post-graduate Programme in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.)
Placement: Full placement achieved in last three years. Highest salary offered Rs 6.51 lacs p.a. and average Rs 4.28 lacs p.a. in 2008.

ELIGIBILITY:
Bachelor's degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from any University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
Eligibility for Army Categories:
Wards of serving Army personnel, prnsioners of regular Army, Army ex-servicemen including ex-SS Officcers who have taken retirement after 10 years of completed service (without pensionary benefit), War Widows who are in receipt of liberalized pension, TA personnel completed 10 years of embodied service, local MNS Officers who have served for minimum 10 years as regular MNS Officers or are in receipt of pension as regular officer, Regular Army personnel retired from regular Army with pensionery benefits and have joined in Assam Rifles, BSF, TA, NCC, DSC etc., are eligible to apply. Adopted children of Army personnel (adopted at least 5 years prior to seeking admission), children of widows of Army personnel who are born as a result of second marriage with Army personnel are also eligible to apply for admission in Army quota.
ADMISSION PROCESS:
Admission to AIM is through Common Admission Test (CAT) followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at AIM, Kolkata.
