Admission to various undergraduate courses in the college of the academic session 2009-10 shall be done on the basis of CET-2009/ AIEEE-2009 merit through online counselling as per the schedule and other guidelines issued by the Punjab Technical University, Jallandhar, which are available on the following websites of the PTU : www.ptu.ac.in and www.ptuadmissions.nic.in

The online counselling shall comprise of the following three steps:
  • Deposti of counselling fees of Rs. 2500/- in the banks designated by the PTU
  • Registration for online counselling on PTU website
  • Exercising the choices for Institute/ Branch online by the registered candidates

Admission in 1st Year of B.Tech. courses is based on CET/AIEEE merit and online counselling. Admission to 1st Years of B.Tech. courses is based on 10+2 with Maths/ Diploma and NATA Test for which manual counselling will be conducted by the PTU. The School of Distance Education offers two different streams of admission to the B.A/B.Com Degree Courses : Regular and Open Streams.

Eligibility: All those who have attained the age of 18 years by the first day of July during the year of admission are eligible to apply for the entrance examination.

How to Apply: The students desirous of joining for the Degree Course have to submit application online. For access to online application visit the home page of website www.universityofcalicut.info and click the link Open Stream Entrance Examination 2009. Before filling the application form the recent passport size photograph be scanned and kept in JPEG Format. Remit the fee by chalan/DDtowards the application fee. Photo in the printout of the application should be attested by Gazetted Officer. Admission to the BA (Honours) Business Economics course shall be based on a merit list prepared through weightage given equally to the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination and performance in the Combined Entrance Test conducted by the University of Delhi.

Entrance Test will be conducted on Sunday, 21 June 2009 at 10:00 am

The intake capacity of each college is a maximum of 54 students.

Eligibility: General Category
The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi with pass in 4 subjects (English, Mathematics and two Elective Subjects) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto, with 55% or more marks in the aggregate of these four subjects. Rounding of fraction of a mark to determine eligibility is not permissible.

The four subjects considered are all from the academic stream. They are:
(1) English
(2) Mathematics or Business Mathematics
(3) and (4) any two from among the following:
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Commerce, Accountancy, Computer Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Biotechnology.

No subjects from the vocational stream or subjects from the academic stream not listed above, would be considered for calculating the aggregate of Class XII marks.

Candidates who do not fulfill the above eligibility conditions will neither be admitted to the course nor permitted to appear in the Combined Entrance Test.

The last date for the issue of Bulletin of Information and submission of duly filled-in application is Monday, 15 June 2009.

Applications are invited for admission to first semester M.Tech. and M.Pharm. Programmes (AICTE approved) in various disciplines at different institutions of U. P. Technical University, Lucknow.

The candidate has to fill an on-line application with all relevant details. The print copy of the same along with requisite fee and certified copies of documents must reach to The Registrar, U. P. Eligibility Criteria:
1. The applicant for M. Tech. / M. Pharm. programme must fulfill the following criteria:

(i) For General / OBC candidates 60 % marks in GraduatIion in Engg. or Technology / B. Pharm. or equivalent.

(ii) For SC/ST candidates 55 % marks in Graduation in Engg. or Technology / B. Pharm. or equivalent.

(iii) For admission to M.Tech. (Computer Sc., Information Technology and related branches),
candidates having degree of MCA, M.Sc.(CS) or M.Sc.(IT) with at least 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible.

(iv) For admission to M.Tech. (Electronics Engg. and related branches), candidates having degree of M.Sc. (Electronics) with at least 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible.

(v) For admission to M.Tech. (Chemical Technology and related branches), candidates having degree of M.Sc. (Chemistry). with at least 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible.

(vi) For admission to M.Tech. (Hill area development Engg.) / M.Tech. (Environmental Engg.):
B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent in any branch of engineering / technology OR B.Arch. or equivalent. OR
M.Sc. in any discipline or Master degree in Mathematics / Geography with at least 60% marks for General / OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible. Candidates not having Mathematics at Intermediate level shall be required to compulsorily qualify a non-credit course on Mathematics of Intermediate level in the first semester of M.Tech. programme.

(vii) For admission to M. Tech. (Bio-Technology), candidate having degree of M.Sc. in Physical/Chemical /Biological /Veterinary /Agricultural Science or Biotechnology or Bioinformatics or equivalent degree in relevant disciplines or B.E./ B.Tech. in Chemical / Bioinformatics / Biochemical / Food / Agriculture/ Environmental or equivalent degree in relevant discipline or MBBS / B.Pharm./ B.V.Sc. / B.D.S with at least 60% marks for General / OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible.

(viii) For admission to M.Tech. (Plastic Engineering), candidates having degree of B.Tech./ B.E. in Chemical Engg./ Chemical Technology / Polymer Science & Technology / Mechanical Engg. / Production Engg./ Petrochemical Technology or equivalent of above degrees / course or M.Sc. Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Polymer Science with at least 60% marks for General / OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates are also eligible.

(xi) For admission to M.Tech. (CAD-CAM), candidates must have following qualifications: B.Tech./ B.E. in Mechanical Engg./ Automobile Engg./ Chemical Engg./ Chemical Technology/ Civil Engg. or allied branches with at least 60% marks for General/ OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.

(x) For admission to M.Tech. (Automation & Robotics), candidates must have following qualifications:
