FINISHING SCHOOL PROGRAMME FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATES (FSEG)–2009

National Institute of Technology, Durgapur is one of the four nodal centers in India for coordinating FSEG programme in the Eastern Region. This course will be offered at the following centres in the Eastern region:

Indian School of Mines-Dhanbad
North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar

Although the demand for technical graduates is increasing the employability of the students passing out from various technical institutes is very low. With a view to meet the immediate trained human resource requirements of the IT and ITES industries, MHRD have taken up an initiative to set up a chain of Finishing School programmes for the engineering graduates. So, this program has been devised with twin objectives of (i) offering suitable candidates to IT industry and (ii) helping young graduates to find jobs through appropriate training.

Eligibility: Only unemployed engineering graduates of AICTE recognized institutes/colleges who have completed their B.Tech. /B.E. program in 2009 or earlier and who have achieved 60% as an aggregate at each level from SSC (X Class or equivalent) up to and including the B.Tech/B.E.program are eligible to attend the program.

How to apply:

The filled in applications along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- (Rs 100/ for SC/ST candidates) towards application fee drawn in favour of “The Chairman FSCHOOL” payable at Durgapur, West Bengal (code-2108).
