Candidates seeing admission to the above programme should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) being conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. Closing date for sale of CAT Bulletins through designated branches of banks(s) is August 8, 2008 and thorugh IIMs it is August 13, 2008.

CAT score is used for short-listing candidates who apply for admission to NIBM. IIMs have no role either inthe selection process or in the conduct of Programme.

Apply to NIBM by filling a separate application form, furnishing CAT Reg. No. and Centre No. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection during Mid-April 2009.

ADMISSION TO MANAGEMENT SEATS

ELIGIBILITY:
General Eligibility:
For admission to MCA program, candidates are required to have obtained any of the following degrees recognized by Calicut University

A Bachelors Degree in any Discipline of 3 year duration with mathematics(this does not include Business Mathematics or Business Statistics] as one of the subjects with atleast 50% marks scored in mathematics and the course undergone, under the regular programme recognized by Calicut University. 5 % of relaxation in marks will be allowed in the case of SEBC Candidate and for SC/ST Candidate pass minimum will be fixed as the eligibility as per Government rules.

Candidates who have completed the course and are awaiting the result and who expect to qualify on or before 31.10.2008 may also be considered for provisional admission. On the date of admission, the students under Semester system must have passed all Semester Examinations except the final semester examination and he/she shall produce the original mark lists up to the pre-final semester examination, while the candidates under year system must produce the original mark lists up to the pre-final year of graduation, failing which they are not eligible for consideration.

NB:
Any candidate admitted provisionally up on production of such provisional certificate or mark lists as proof of having passed the qualifying examination shall have to discontinue the course, if he/she does not produce the original degree certificate/final semester/year mark list on or before the specified date. Such candidates will not be entitled to any refund of fees paid by him/her. Admission will not be given to those provisionally admitted candidates (pending announcement of final examination results) who failed in the qualifying examination even if they have subsequently appeared for the supplementary examination, and the fees paid by such candidates shall be forfeited.
